Schoolwide Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration – Each class will be designing and leading a different activity to honor and celebrate Hispanic heritage. Families are invited to attend this fun celebration after dismissal, from 1:30 to 2:30!

Fall Break (NO LEARNERS) – Staff is engaging in valuable professional development this week. There will be no before or after care available.
Middle School ILP Meetings – Mr. Owens will be scheduling ILP meetings this week. Middle school families – be on the lookout for communication from him regarding scheduling ILP meetings.

Meet Mr. Owens Night, 5-6 p.m. – Middle school parents are invited to meet Mr. Owens, learn about his educational philosophy, and learn about how his class is structured. You don’t want to miss this awesome opportunity to meet him!
Week of Oct. 23-27
Third Grade State Reading Test – As part of the Third Grade Reading Guarantee, third graders will be taking the state-mandated test to determine whether they are on track in reading. Third grade facilitators will be sharing the exact dates and times their learners are testing will be testing this week.

Picture Retake Day – If your learner missed last month’s picture day, or if you wish to have their photo retaken, the photographer from Inter-state will be at the school this day.

Parent University: Character Lab – We use Character Lab’s strengths of mind, heart and will as the foundation of our social-emotional learning. Learn what this means, how Character Lab is used, and how learners reflect and self-assess in their growth of these strengths!
