iLEAD Spring Meadows Message

Good Afternoon, iLEAD Spring Meadows Families,

I hope this letter finds all of you safe and healthy. As you are aware, Governor DeWine has announced that all school buildings in Ohio will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. I know that leaves many of us wondering what will happen next. Our team is working hard to provide engaging authentic learning opportunities, social-emotional support, and fun end-of-the-year activities that will leave us all ready to move forward into the next school year. I am certain we will continue to pull together as a community to support learners, families, and staff in this unprecedented time.

End-of-the-Year Activities

I am working closely with the iLEAD Spring Meadows staff to ensure all learners will be able to celebrate and have a sense of completion for this school year. Please look for information on the following items to be available on our website by May 4, 2020.

  • Kindergarten promotion celebration
  • 8th grade sendoff celebration
  • End-of-the-year class activities
  • Learner materials clean-out/pickup
  • Virtual Field Day
  • Final Reports of Progress

Continuing Distance Learning

Learners in grades K-8 will continue to have access to high-quality authentic learning opportunities online. If your family is in need of internet or technology assistance, please contact your learner’s facilitator or email info@ileadspringmeadows.org. All facilitators are also providing reading and math choice boards in their weekly family emails for families who prefer low-tech learning materials. Hard copies of all materials are available for pickup at the school by appointment. Please email your learner’s facilitator or info@ileadspringmeadows.org to schedule a pickup time if needed.

Social-emotional health

The social-emotional well-being of our learners is at the forefront of our decision-making. Our school counselor, Ms. Lorena Munoz, will be accessible for all learners during these challenging times. You can reach her via email at lorena.munoz@ileadspringmeadows.org. Ms. M is also participating in Zoom class meetings throughout the week. Ms. Eilis, our mental and behavioral health therapist at iLEAD through the TACKLE program, will also continue to support learners on her caseload and visit classes via Zoom throughout the week. She can be contacted at 419-377-0444 or esheetz@rfstackle.com. Families not currently working with the TACKLE program can get connected by contacting program manager Stephanie Crawford at 419-367-2870 or scrawford@rfstackle.com.

Please continue to keep your family’s health and well-being as your top priority. We will get through this challenge together.

Sincerely,

Ms. Sarah Hawley
School Director
