Welcome to the 2018-19 school year at iLEAD Spring Meadows! We have been working hard over the summer to prepare for the upcoming school year with a growing staff, new extracurricular activities, and many new families. We look forward to seeing you at Meet the Facilitators Night on Aug. 20 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., and the first day of school on Aug. 21. In the meantime, take a moment to meet the staff right here!
Sarah Hawley – School Director
Hello! I’m Ms. Sarah to the iLEAD Community and the only thing that I love more about iLEAD Spring Meadows than being the School Director, is that it is the school where the youngest of my 5 children loves to learn, explore, and make new friends. As iLEAD Spring Meadows grows into its third official year, I am looking forward to beginning my 19th year in education! I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have taught learners from 1st to 8th grade. Since earning my Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, I have served as a Math and Literacy Coach, Curriculum Writer, Assistant Principal, and Principal/Director. I can’t wait to dive into the new year!
Brittany Strickland – Office Manager and Activities Coordinator
Hello! My name is Brittany Strickland and this will be my second year here at iLEAD Spring Meadows! I have two children, Liam (3) who keeps me young at heart and Peyton (6) who will be attending her second year here at iLEAD. This year, I’m excited to be working with getting your children enrolled and ready for the new year! I love iLEAD because it is a school with an environment full of ingenuity and social emotional growth. As a person who enjoys art and creativity, I can truly appreciate being in a position that supports a school whose mission is bringing out the unique qualities that your learners bring to our iLEAD family.
Tarah Harding – Kindergarten Facilitator
My name is Tarah Harding. I graduated from the University of Toledo in May 2017 with my bachelors in Early Childhood Education. This will be my second year teaching, both teaching kindergarten at iLEAD. I love our school because the learners and facilitators have so much freedom to express themselves. iLEAD allows learners to learn in an environment where they are always welcomed and encouraged to think in various ways. Most say it takes a special person to teach kindergarten, but I truly would not have it any other way.
Nermeen Elfakhrany – Kindergarten Facilitator
This school year will be my 4th year teaching. I have taught second grade, Pre-K, and kindergarten. I joined iLEAD last year and I can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I have ever made! I love the ethos of the school and enjoy the opportunities for creative, engaging, and immersive learning with the learners. I was born and brought up in Egypt and my true passion is learning about the history. I graduated from The University of Toledo with a Masters degree in Early Childhood Education in 2014.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, spending time with my family, and shopping.
Jessica Morse – First-Grade Facilitator

Bethany Reynard – First-Grade Facilitator
I graduated with my Bachelor’s in Psychology and Master’s in Education from Belmont University in Nashville, TN. I taught for a year in Nashville before moving to the Toledo area. This 2018-2019 school year will be my second year at iLEAD, and I am very excited about it! Teaching has been my passion ever since I was a little girl. I absolutely love kids and watching them learn and grow is my WHY behind education. When I’m not teaching, I am with my family and spending time outdoors!
Hope Bays – Elementary Facilitator
My name is Hope Bays and this will be my 14th year of teaching! This is my first year at iLEAD, and I’m just really looking forward to standing behind a school that puts the individual, whole child first. I have an 11-year old son named Nolan who keeps me busy outside of school. I love photography, sports, and dancing! Something you might be interested to know about me is that I lived in Texas for 9 years, so I’m a huge Houston Texans fan! I hope that my learners love animals because we will have a class pet! I wonder what it will be?
Jeff Edge – Elementary Facilitator
I am a fifth-year PBL facilitator from Los Angeles. I was born and raised in northwest Indiana, but moved out to Los Angeles after graduating from Indiana University to pursue screenwriting and directing. During my eight-year stay in California, I found a passion and purpose in empowering young readers and writers with iLEAD Encino. In May 2018, I published a collection of learner work as a book. I enjoy podcasting, writing, LEGOs, bowling, and professional wrestling. I also support Chicago sports teams (unfortunately).
Moira Ruplinger – Elementary Facilitator
Hi! My name is Moira Ruplinger and I am a fairly new graduate from the University of Toledo. My first year of teaching was with preschoolers. I love working with all ages and I am excited to bring my new ideas and projects to the elementary learners. I am looking forward to inspiring the learners here just like my facilitators have inspired me in the past. iLEAD has an open and caring atmosphere which I believe is a key foundation for instilling young minds.
David Barker – Middle-School Facilitator
Hello! My name is David Barker and I am a native of Indiana, a proud Midwesterner who headed West and spent the last decade living in Los Angeles. In LA, I began to teach and came into the iLEAD family as a founding facilitator for iLEAD Encino where I facilitated 6th, 7th, and 8th grade humanities as well as designed and implemented an innovative program for high schoolers. I hold a B.A. in History and an M.A. in English. I am an avid reader (in 2017 I completed the daunting 52 books in 52 weeks challenge), video and board game player, and cook (my chili, fried chicken, and barbecue are not to be messed with). In addition to my passion for teaching, I have also had two short stories published and I am actively pursuing the completion and publication of my first novel.
Shannon Weimerskirch – Middle-School and French Facilitator
Hello! My name is Shannon Weimerskirch and I am excited to be joining the iLEAD Spring Meadows community as a facilitator of French (K-8) and middle school math. In my free time, I enjoy reading, walking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
Kylie Little – Middle-School Facilitator and Building Substitute
I am delighted to begin the school year as a new member of the iLEAD team! I am a recent graduate from The University of Toledo and guiding learners to enjoy reading literature and writing is my passion. My favorite aspect of literature is watching learners grow and empathize with the characters in novels that cover a broad range of topics. I can’t wait to work with all of the great learners enrolled at iLead!
Katie Hildreth – Exploratorium Facilitator
I graduated from the University of Toledo in 2016 with a degree in Art Education and a focus in Art History. My “why” is that I get to watch students learn how to self-cope, and develop in non-traditional ways. Something fun; I would love to visit all the National Parks in America!
Shaun Nagle – Art and After-Care Facilitator
My name is Shaun Nagle, and I am a first-year teacher who is very excited to be a part of iLEAD and its mission! I decided to become an art educator because I strongly believe that art is the very essence of what it means to be human, and that studying the arts can enhance every other aspect of our daily lives. I am an artist myself, and I’ve even had some of my own work displayed on electronic billboards all over the Toledo area!
Jenny Morgan – Middle-School Intervention Specialist
I am a Toledo native living all but 10 years in the area. I graduated from Miami University in 1988 with a BS in Special Education and have 15 years of teaching experience. I have lived and taught in six different countries. This will be a year of new connections, new approaches, and a commitment to families I serve.
Daniel Baumgartner – Music and After-Care Facilitator
My name is Daniel Baumgartner and I am a recent Graduate from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Music Education and a specialization in the voice. I love teaching because there is no greater feeling than when a student is interested in something you taught and they want to learn more about it. I chose iLEAD because it allows me to teach and do something most recent graduates don’t get the opportunity to do, start a program. I am very excited for this coming school year as we will be going over music from many different genres and cultures
Sierra Zaremba – Early Childhood Intervention Specialist
I have a Master’s degree in Early Intervention and a Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education, and teaching licenses in both areas. I have over 10 years’ experience in the educational field. I have been with iLEAD Spring Meadows since their opening year, building relationships with facilitators and learners alike.
Katrina Johnson – CARE Team
I am starting my second year at iLEAD Spring Meadows. I love the closeness of the staff and supportive families here. I’m looking forward to moving up to 2nd grade to continue working with the learners that I have gotten to know so well and I’m excited to see how they will continue to grow.
Sheila Bernhard – CARE Team
Hi I’m Sheila Bernhard, I’m an educational aid on the Care Team. I have been a cosmetologist, Firefighter/EMT, completed my nursing degree, worked as an educational aid in a preschool for three years, and this is my third year with iLEAD. I have a heart and a passion to help others and it’s been an honor and a privilege to help your children, and to help you all as a family when needed. I’m blessed to have a job where I can utilize the gift of a servant’s heart that God created in me.
Desiree Valle – CARE Team
Hi, I’m Mrs. Dez! I chose iLEAD because I loved the vision I saw that the faculty and administration have for the learner’s. I love how the learners can be themselves and express themselves freely. I love the feeling I get when I can see the progress a learner has made. Knowing that I had an ounce to do with that, is what makes me strive to try even harder to take time with the learner’s every day. I’m looking forward to the new year coming!
Mandy Sargeont – CARE Team
Hi! My name is Mandy and I’m a mother of two very active children, Andrew (14) and Madison (12). I have over 10 years of experience working with individuals with special needs. I previously worked at Perrysburg preschool as a paraprofessional. I love helping others and I am the one that volunteers for everything because I can’t say no.
Hannah Lundquist – Building Substitute
I started at iLEAD Spring Meadows as the after-care coordinator and then became a full-time care team member. I have loved working with learners here for the last two years. I especially enjoy meeting with them in small groups, whether to build their strengths academically or socially. I have recently taken on the position of Kids Director at Soma City Church, but I will continue to support iLEAD Spring Meadows this year as a building substitute and look forward to the exciting things coming!
Kris Morris – CARE Team Substitute and Family Scouting Coordinator
My name is Kris Morris and my son is in 7th grade at iLEAD Spring Meadows. Previously, I worked as a CARE Team member supporting lunches and recess. I have also enjoyed volunteering with the little ones helping them with math. This year I will be working as a substitute for the CARE Team and leading Family Scouting after school. I can’t wait to see how much learners have grown over the summer and meet all the new faces.
Ilanit Avidor-Reiss – Speech and Language Pathologist
I am a Speech-language pathologist (SLP), working in schools for over 20 years. I am originally from Israel where I became an SLP after completing my mandatory army service. In the US, I’ve lived in 3 states (California, Massachusetts and Ohio) where I’ve worked with students K-12 with a variety of diagnoses. I enjoy working at iLEAD for many reasons, among them the strong parent involvement, allowing students to learn in different ways and incorporating different cultures and traditions to the school year.
Yolanda ‘Yo-Yo’ Robles-Wicks – Receptionist
I love baking, writing poetry, and crafting. I first started with iLEAD as a parent volunteer and co-chair for our parent group, PAC (Parent Action Committee). I have three wonderful, smart, fun, loving and caring children, Cheyzon, Illeyana and Yara. Cheyzon will be in 1st grade this year at iLEAD. I have seen so much growth from my son both as a person and academically. He would tell you himself that he learns so much at iLEAD. Illeyana is 3 and I can’t wait for her to attend iLEAD soon and my youngest, Yara, is 19 months and full of energy. We live in Bowling Green and yes, we do commute everyday to iLEAD!
Ali Reed – Dance Program Coordinator and Office Support
Hi! I’m Ali Reed and I’m excited to bring my 17 years of dance experience to the Learners at iLEAD Spring Meadows. I was born in Toledo, Ohio, and attended Westside Montessori until moving to Washington, DC, where I graduated from Duke Ellington School for the Arts with a concentration in dance. I studied Theatre Arts at the University of Arizona for two years and I am now continuing my education in Entrepreneurship at Owens Community College. I was excited to return to Ohio and find that iLEAD has brought innovative school choice to Toledo!
Monique Myers – Outreach Coordinator, iLEAD Schools Development
Hello! I’m Monique and I believe that the goal of education should be nothing short of creating passionate, self-directed lifelong learners and leaders. A child’s education should give them a solid foundation to prepare them to go out and make a positive difference in our world. These values encouraged me to earn my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and my master’s degree in Educational Leadership. I was a classroom teacher for 15 years. I taught 2nd grade, was a media and enrichment specialist and middle school Language Arts. I was also an assistant director for 3 years. My husband Kurt and I are raising 4 beautiful children; two of which will join the iLEAD Spring Meadows community as Kindergarteners this fall. As the Outreach Coordinator I am excited to help the iLEAD community grow; not just here in the Midwest, but nationally.
